DESIGN | PRODUCTION – The client wanted a minimalist look for this ad but, with creative direction coming from multiple sources, there was plenty of back and fourth on the look of it. In the end, I think everyone was happy. November 2019 issue of Avenue Magazine – Top 40 Under 40.
DESIGN | PRODUCTION – I’m proud of this in-house ad for UCalgary Annual Giving. I received a layout and copy in word, and incorporated many copy and image changes to create the result. Ran in the Fall | Winter edition of UCalgary Alumni Magazine.
PRODUCTION – I was responsible for final production for five issues of the magazine as well as design and layout of the front and back of book.
WEB DESIGN – Here is a website I designed that never went live publicly, due to shifting priorities with the associated stakeholders. The art director at the time provided an example website and with only written content, four video’s and access to the UCalgary photo library I created this.
DESIGN | PRODUCTION – My brother (that’s his stage name) recorded an album and decided to make hard copies, supplied images and using templates from the duplication company.
DESIGN | PRODUCTION – The client wanted all of its sales force-related materials converted to digital, as it was equipping its staff with iPads. After initially considering PDFs, I obtained the beta of Adobe’s Digital Publishing Suite. By combining the main product family sales folder with a symptom-solution poster, I created an attractive sales piece that included hot links, pop-ups, and page-swipe and hot-spot navigation.

CONCEPT | DESIGN | PRODUCTION – The brief was to create a direct mail package to go to dealerships that did not host an event touring Canada and U.S. to promote a new line of products.. The tour featured a new tractor with expanded windows for more visibility, plus a host of other new features. The tour also featured tents from vendors and partners, a barbecue and test drives. This last-minute execution, based on ideas I had been considering for some time, was the overwhelming favourite of everyone, including (most importantly) the client. Here is the final DM, as it was sent to dealerships.
CONCEPT | PRODUCTION – Worked with Jason Sweet on conceptualizing this campaign for Avenue Magazine, I am in one and my house is in two.
CONCEPT | DESIGN | LAYOUT | ILLUSTRATION – The concept was a software mailer that folded into a pyramid that recipients could wear; the concept was that the company’s software was so efficient, only “pyramid power” could increase productivity. The client loved it and the response from its customers was overwhelming, with hundreds of accountants submitting photos to the client’s website of themselves wearing the pyramids.
